It was unoptimized because of the amount of tris having to be rendered at once and the caps were mostly out of place, and looked more of a claw grabber instead of a cactus.
My second attempt of my cactus
Much bigger improvement since there isnt as much polygons having to be rendered at once and it looks more of a cactus than my first attempt since i used the extrude tool for the tips there isnt any tris being rendered at the top of the cactus and its arms
My attempt at a Campfire
I created a campfire for the asset of my game, i coloured it in to tell the difference between the planks in the fire, the fire and the rocks surrounding both.
I used the Platonic solid and increased its radius and amount of polygons on each face by 3 creating a rock like shape the planks are just polygonal cubes stretched into rectangles.
the fire was created with a sphere and made the shape look like fire with the lattice and coloured the entire model using the Lambert material
